At Lancaster University we take the health and wellbeing of our students, staff and community very seriously. Our iconic new sports centre provides a welcoming environment to exercise, meet friends or just relax.

There is no joining fee, simply choose a membership that meets your requirements, or if you are an infrequent user you can opt to ‘pay as you play’. To make it even easier, many activities can be booked online.

Membership Renewal

Unfortunately it is not currently possible to renew you membership online. If you would like to renew your membership please call the dedicated membership number 01524 510609 or speak to a member of staff at reception. We apologise for the inconvenience and are working to provide this service in the near future.

Membership Prices

Student

Student membership is available at the following prices for 12 months: Bronze £100, Silver £150, Gold £200 or Platinum £250. This can be paid upfront or per term. There is no joining fee. The minimum membership period is 3 months.

Staff

Staff membership is available at the following prices for 12 months: Bronze £200, Silver £250, Gold £300 or Platinum £350. This can be paid in full or monthly by direct debit. There is no joining fee. The minimum membership period is 3 months. Lancaster University staff can also receive further discount by joining through the Flexible Benefits scheme (Enrolment August/September only). For more information visit the HR website.

Public

Public membership is available at the following prices for 12 months: Bronze £300, Silver £350, Gold £400 or Platinum £450. This can be paid in full or monthly by direct debit. There is no joining fee. The minimum membership period is 3 months. PLEASE NOTE: During term time the swimming pool will be used by University clubs and local schools so opening times may vary. Please check the website or contact reception for the most up to date opening times.

PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE CURRENTLY SOLD OUT OF PUBLIC SILVER, GOLD & PLATINUM MEMBERSHIPS

To ensure our existing members continue to experience the best of the facilities, we are currently only offering Bronze (off peak) memberships to the general public. We are also monitoring ‘pay and play’ usage of the gym during peak times to control the numbers of people using the gym equipment.

Members of the public that would like to take out take out a Silver, Gold or Platinum membership can put their name on a waiting list by emailing sportsenquiries@lancaster.ac.uk  or calling the membership number 01524 510609. Bronze memberships are still available for off peak use.

* Note: Bronze membership is only available at off peak times: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm.

Everyoneusing the weights or life fitness rooms must first complete an induction.

Beginners using the climbing wall must also complete an induction. These classes are designed to teach customers to use the equipment in a safe and effective manner. All membership categories include inductions where necessary and equipment as required.
